    hi kurt!
bin in der speed&power group auf folgendes gestossen, deine meinung dazu würd mich interessieren(is aber nicht dringend, wir sehn uns ja in kürze....

    Hyperexcitability of the CNS

Do you feel that a near maximal load excites the CNS more than a
ballistic activity like jumping even though the EMG activity is much
higher in a dropjump than in a maximal squat?

    To H. Andersson
Yes, I do. When a biomechanics of some training means and physiological
effect of their training influence on organism were investigated at the
beginning of sixties, I found that the EMG in a drop jump is really much
higher than in a maximal squat. And at this time I decided that «absolute»
means for maximal and explosive strength development has been founded. But
it was my mistake. Later on I understood that absolute means to be not.
Results of my further investigations were convinced that only
conjugate-successive (correlated) usage of the of the uni-directional means
is more effective, for example: barbell of the different weigh ( 90 and 30%
from maximum) for development explosive strength and reactive ability of the
muscles, barbell (squat) and jumping exercises for improvement speed of
locomotion and so on. On this basis the stimulation method was created (one
from some super-methods of special physical preparation for top class
    athletes).
The main point of the training influence of the stimulation method are
founded on the so-called principle of forced (compulsory) intensification
regime of the organism working ( my first publications about this idea were
made in the middle of sixties).
    What is this principle?
All traditional methods of training are based on exhibiting voluntary
effort, i.e. the ability of the sportsmen as to mobilize his motor potential
as fully as possible for the solution of a motor task. For example, the
higher the voluntary effort, the more force is produced by muscles at
isometric exertion. The influence on the organism of any traditional
training method is determined by the limit of strong-willed effort, for
which the sportsman is capable at the given moment.
At the same time it is known that in a state of affect, in a hypnotized
state and in extreme situations man can exhibit physical possibilities which
can be termed fantastic. In my laboratory in Moscow (The problem laboratory
of the training programming and physiology of sport performance capacity)
was also shown that if to increase beforehand the excitability of the CNS
of the sportsman he can lift a bar and such weight, which before it not
could shift. Or another example. At a vertical take-off after a depth jump
the sportsman instantaneously produces the effort of such power, which he
cannot exhibit in ordinary training conditions.
When a sportsman lifts a bar or executes an usual standing jump, nobody and
nothing can not force him to do that. Everything depends on his
strong-willed effort and the mobilization of motor potential. If the
sportsman conducts a vertical take-off after a depth jumps with the aim of
flying up as high as possible or runs under a small inclination with maximal
speed, this conditions force his CNS and other physiological systems to go
out on the working regime that oversteps boundaries. Deliberate creating of
such conditions in training process is the forced intensification of the
regime of the organism and a potent training stimulus.
The results of a laboratory experiment show that the working effect of the
explosive effort gauged in the height of take-off of a load, thrown by hand
on the special device, increases in the average by 38-40% after preliminary
stimulating work (pressing the bar with the weight of 80% from maximum,
three approaches (sets0 with three repetitions, pause between the first and
second works for 5-6 minutes). Thus the time of movement is reduced (6%),
its amplitude is greater (4,8%), essentially increase the speed of movement
(11,7%) and power of work (47,3%).
This phenomenon was used up in the stimulation method. The squat’s role in
this method consisted in increasing (tonic) the CNS only, but not rising the
strength abilities. And squat is more effective for the decision of this
task as compared with the ballistic activity, because in this case
considerable effort is develop during more prolonged time. And the main
(developing) function in the method is executed more effective on the
background of the higher excitability of the CNS.
It is necessary underline that stimulation method has a very strong training
influence on organism and should be using by the top class athletes only.

    kurt

    des pack i scho no

hab schon öfters betont, dass das EMG nicht alles ist... klingt plausibel, was der yuri sagt.
wir quatschen am samstag darüber, o.k.!
