heavy bag

ok, i have a question but first i'll tell you the background. i love running, i run for years but in the last couple of years i find it hard for me to run in the winter.

anyway, its starting to be boring for me, so its all works out for me. my question is, if i will work out on a heavy bag (i have one at home) will it be a good enough replacement for running, or i shouldnt do it? (of course ill do it for enough time and in the correct way).

thanks for helping

Keep the intensity fairly high and you will get a great anaerobic/aerobic workout, especially if you employ kicks.

Go to this page and scroll down to training videos:
http://www.rossboxing.com/thegym.html

Click on heavy bag drills for two really effective ways to up your intensity on the heavy bag.Just make sure your technique is fairly solid first.
