1. its easier to eat the rights foods in smaller portions. Otherwise you'd be looking at 2 full cups of vegetables at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an 8oz steak (or larger), and a double serving (2 cups) of oatmeal. you'd never be able to gag it all down...and I didn't even toss in the fats yet!

2. it maintains very stable blood sugar levels when you eat every 2-3 hours, vs. loading up on food like in my example and then feeling like a beached whale when your blood sugar crashes 90 mins after lunch.

3. its SOOO much easier to bulk up on a lotta food, or lean out on less food, when you get to eat often.

4. it takes the body nearly 20 mins to realize its full after eating. this is why when you go to a buffet, make a trip, snarf it down, then start on your second plate, that you feel like you're gonna burst by the time you pay the check... vs. a smaller meal, and then feeling 'satisfied', and also knowing that in 2 hours you're gonna eat again, so it doesn't matter if you feel a little hungry 90 mins from now.
